ChocnutChocolate + Peanut = Chocnut?
What can be said about this iconic Filipino candy bar? ChocNut is the brand name of a type of chocolate made up of crushed peanuts, milk, cane sugar and cocoa powder. Not as sophisticated as imported chocolate, this humble chocolate bar is dry and crumbly in texture like polvoron, but smoother with a sweet peanut taste, and sticky once in your mouth. The wrapper and logo have remained the same for over 30 years, and eating chocnut can easily bring back memories of home and childhood for many Filipinos.
